Counselling with Sarah Hall
Effective counselling therapy is not about fixing things (although that can happen!) it is about a process of reflection and change undertaken within the context of the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor. This relationship, as it develops, becomes both a catalyst and a container for the exploration of present concerns and past difficulties. Each therapeutic relationship, like any relationship, is of course unique. For this reason, there can be no fixed formula for therapy. It is an organic process that evolves as we work together at a pace that suits you.
My style is warm and I will take an active role in your sessions - I see counselling as a collaboration between us, undertaken with respect and curiosity. Counselling can be difficult, exciting, moving, painful and compelling and, in my opinion, always worthwhile.
I have had my private practice at The Sunflower Centre since 2007 and it is a lovely therapeutic space which provides a sense of safety and calm. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, loss, trauma, issues of identity and self-esteem, relationships and abuse. Sessions cost £40 for 50 minutes. I am at the Sunflower Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you feel that counselling would be helpful for you, please ring me on 0771 8198937 or send me an email at sarahehall@f2s.com and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have before making an initial appointment.

Counselling with Katrina Pitts
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist with a particular interest in Existential theory, and graduated from The School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regents College in 2008. Since that time I have worked within the NHS and in the private sector, offering short and long-term therapy to individuals.
I offer a confidential, non-judgmental place to work through difficult thoughts and feelings and hopefully, in the process, raise your awareness of the possibilities that lie beyond the sometimes seemingly impossible situations we face.
The inclusive nature of my training has instilled in me an open approach to therapy, drawing on various theories, but it has also taught me that one of the most important aspects of any successful therapy is the relationship – that working alliance between practitioner and client. As such, a strong supportive environment is central to my practice.
I work with a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety and depression, post-natal depression, relationship difficulties, body-image and eating disorders, bereavement, workplace difficulties and low self-esteem.
I am available Wednesday mornings at The Sunflower Centre. Call me on 07805 615494 to arrange an appointment, or if you are at all uncertain we can talk through some of your thoughts and concerns to decide whether therapy is right for you. I can also be contacted by email at katrinapitts@gmail.com

Couples Therapy with Nancy Secchi
I have been a fulltime practising therapist for 20 years. I have worked in the NHS for many years as a therapist to families, parents and young people.
At the Sunflower Centre I provide
Couples therapy for people wanting to change their relationship in a way that works for the both of them. Relationships can be affected by many experiences; stress, children, not having children, finances, intimacy and anxiety to name but a few. There are many things that affect how we communicate, beh ave and manage our partnerships. Therapy can often give us the space and time to find out more about ourselves and our partner so we can tease out stuck patterns and make changes to our lives.
To create a relaxed environment in which to talk, I can use creative methods in tune with your needs alongside cognitive behavioural techniques as a way of exploring dynamics between yourself and your partner. I welcome all couples regardless of sexuality age and culture.
Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy
I have worked in the NHS for many years as a child and family therapist. I am registered with the British Association of Play Therapists as a therapist and supervisor to other therapists.
I am also registered as a Dramatherapist with the The British Association of Dramatherapists and as a supervisor to other therapists.
I am Post -Graduate level trained in Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT)
If you have children or teenagers I can provide insight into how to understand them and their behaviour and I can explore parenting dilemmas with you. I use creative activities set to match the age and development of the child or young person so that therapy is enjoyable and dynamic, it is not just verbally orientated as most children and young people prefer to communicate using creative media.
It is not easy asking for help when we feel we have perhaps exhaustedour own resources and do not know which way to turn. Having an impartial person to voice difficulties to can act as gentle relief on a pressure valve. Therapy can suggest an alternative lens through which to see how we communicate and behave and can help to find ways to either change or manage our partnership differently. Therapy can be a creative opportunity where you will be respected and supported, not told what you should be doing differently.
If you have children I can provide insight into how to understand them and their behaviour and I can explore parenting dilemmas with you.

You are welcome to come for as many sessions as you choose; one may be enough or you may feel more are needed over a longer period, you decide.
If you are interested or require more information please call me on: 07546 740 248 or email me at; ndsecchi@gmail.com
I will be available on Wednesday evenings at the Sunflower Centre.
