Parenting Workshops - Taster Sessions
This short taster session will introduce three parenting ideas, based on the NVR parenting approach. These are:
- How to avoid regular battles with our children / young people. (That is, avoid battles but not avoid dealing with issues that need to be dealt with).
- How to connect with children more and criticise less (but still gain cooperation).
- When constructive criticism is needed, how do we do this effectively, so that cooperation is more, rather than less, likely to happen.
This taster session should offer you some useful tools and may also lead to further sessions or a series of parenting workshops at the Sunflower centre.
