REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPY
Remedial Massage Therapy is a form of soft tissue therapy. Benefits can include improved recovery from activity or injury, injury prevention, pain reduction and greater flexibility and range of motion.
You do not need to be an athlete to benefit from soft tissue remedial therapy.
Its benefits can also help relieve day-to-day problems including muscle tension, fatigue, and pain that many experience due to workplace set-up, repetitive tasks, caring/family requirements or other activities. Remedial therapists work with a great range of clients in assisting with preventive treatment and injury recovery.
Remedial therapy can be beneficial post-surgery through softening and realigning scar tissue thereby helping restore movement, or as part of physiotherapy, osteopathy, or chiropractic-led treatment.
Assessment and evaluation of soft tissue condition and understanding client needs is a fundamental part of the therapy meaning each treatment is highly individual and focused. This includes advising on alternative action if soft tissue therapy is not appropriate at the time and providing rehabilitation exercises.
