I was a State Registered Midwife in 1973 after completing my general training as a general nurse.   I started training as an acupuncturist in 2004 and got my licence in Acupuncture in 2008 and Chinese Herbology in 2012. However, there is no end in learning in Chinese Medicine.  After the initial qualification, as a Chinese Acupuncturist I did undergo further training each year to specialise in different types of acupuncture such as Abdominal Acupuncture, Tung Acupuncture, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Acupuncture, Muscular Skeletal Acupuncture, Ear Detox Acupuncture and Pain Management Acupuncture under many different masters in order to be well versed and holistic in my treatment.

However I specialised in Japanese Acupuncture in 2012 and never looked back.  Most of the acupuncture I perform is based on Japanese Acupuncture under Kiyii Masumoto who has since returned back to the United States to teach rather than come to UK.

In 2011 and 2012 I did undergo further acupuncture specialisation for Obstetrics and Gynaecology under Dr Trevor Wing. I also learned under Dr Feng and Dr Suzanne Robidou, a disciple of Dr Feng and Dr Hu,  Chinese Master of Jing Fang Branch of Chinese Medicine (that was practised in the Song Dynasty period).  It is an ancient mastery of Classical Chinese Herbology using pulse analysis, 4 seasons, 8 principles of TCM and classical interpretation and diagnosis.  I experience in using this approach on myself and my clients for treatment of Infertility both male and female and other aspects of Respiratory, Circulatory, Skin Conditions, Urinary and Digestive system.

At present I am studying Scalp Acupuncture for Neurology under Professor Tianjun Wang.  It means treating conditions like Stroke, Motor Neurone Disease, Motor imbalance, eg Parkinson’s side effects of tremors and imbalance in walking.  I also treat side effects of radiotherapy and of chemotherapy using Scalp Acupuncture.  

In addition, I am now specialising in OCD, depression, anxiety, and bipolar conditions. This treatment will mean that a patient will have to undergo several sessions of acupuncture with me, besides talking therapies and SSRs.

I also now specialise in Pelvic Floor Disorders such as Urinary Incontinence, Recurrent Cystitis, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Haemorrhoids, Sexual Dysfunction such as impotence, Trauma to the Pelvic Floor such as childbirth perineal 3^rd degree tear, uterine prolapse etc.

I am a member of MBAcC, & have a BSc (Hons) Acupuncture, LicAc, Patent Herbs certificate, Dip LicTuina, Japanese Acupuncture, Dip Chinese Herbs (includes skin diseases, stroke rehab, gynaecology and obstetrics ), and smoke cessation. I also specialise in neurology, pelvic floor disorders, and mental health acupuncture and have also been practising as a midwife for over 30 years (now retired) SCM (Midwife).
