I am a qualified Person-Centred and Trauma-Focused Therapist who works to support clients in exploring their feelings and encourage them to move towards a deep sense of empowerment and positive change within themselves and in their life.

I am a creative and open-minded counsellor & psychotherapist, who will work alongside you to reach your goals, whether that’s about putting yourself first, setting boundaries or improving your mood. You don’t have to go through your change alone.

I welcome people of all cultures and diverse backgrounds, ages, and sexual orientations.

You might be feeling lost, continuously anxious, fearful, disconnected or feeling very low about yourself. Maybe these are just a few reasons why you are considering counselling and you would like to explore more, whether about yourself, your life or your relationship with others.

I have experience of working with gender and sexual diversity, young people and people from multicultural and diverse backgrounds. I offer a professional therapy space, which is friendly, calm and purposeful to voice your thoughts with warmth, empathy and non-judgment. Because each person has different issues, backgrounds and goals for therapy, the journey in therapy will be different depending on the individual needs. The space is yours.

I believe you are the expert of your life; you hold all the resources you need to navigate yourself through your path and you may just need some help and support to connect to them.

Therapy can be short-term, for a specific issue, or longer-term, to deal with more difficult emotions or your desire for more personal development. Either way, it is most common to schedule weekly sessions.

My approach is Person-centred and influenced by other humanistic as well as psychodynamic theories, CBT, and also using a Trauma-focused approach.

Working with Trauma:

I work with a number of different therapeutic approaches to offer each client a truly personalised therapy. All my work promotes a mind-body approach to healing, so that your emotional, mental and physical health is connected.
Your intuition can assist you in piecing together your experiences and creating a new dialogue that leads to a deeper level of your understanding and transformative change.

The goal is to help you discover the ways in which your mind and body intuitively want to work together, by gently directing your attention to your emotions and the physical sensations that you experience as you talk about your difficult experiences. Trauma therapy will provide you with practical skills for approaching problematic negative thinking, behaviours and difficult situations – skills that you can use outside the therapy room.

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy– TF-CBT is a special type of talking therapy for people who have experienced trauma, and who are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)– Core Self- IFS helps to identify the parts of your sub-personalities involved in the current problem. IFS is a transformational tool that understands each human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts lead by core Self. It is the nature of the mind to be subdivided into an indeterminate number of subpersonalities or parts. IFS creates inner-outer connectedness and balance by helping you first access your Self and from that core come to understanding and healing the parts of yourself.
  • Person-Centred Therapy– The gentle but powerful, non-directive nature of person-centred therapy is well-suited for addressing trauma/PTSD. It allows you to explore your inner feelings with increasing confidence, and find your inner voice. It promotes dignity, strength, empowerment, respect, and authenticity. You are unique!
