Functional Medicine and Health Coaching
Functional Medicine goes beyond symptoms of poor health and vitality to look at contributing factors – what you put in your body, how you use it and your genetics.
We may not be able to change our genes but we can really influence how they are expressed by the choices we make.
The Functional Medicine approach works on the root causes of illness so we look at developing habits around sleep, relaxation, nutrition and movement for better health and energy.
Health coaching is about you. You decide on the areas you want to work on. It can be general (I want more energy/ to get out of this rut) or more specific (I want to exercise/ lose weight/ sleep better) or really specific (My doctor has told me to [xxx] but I don’t know where to start.)
And as a Functional Medicine health coach, trained in positive psychology, motivational interviewing, Functional Medicine principles, psychology of eating, IFM food plans and mind-body techniques, I can support you to identify what makes you tick as well as providing you with solid, well researched information and techniques around diet, movement, stress and sleep, empowering you to take charge of your health.
